Well done to everyone that passed. I agree it took up alot of my free time! But I wouldn't say you need to work in an exotic practise a keen interest would help!!

My practice doesn't see that many exotic patients, although we do have the odd bearded dragon, chickens and the occasional koi carp! I was really interested in the exotic side of things and my practice were happy for me to do the course (and pay for it), which was nice of them and it covers three years of CPD, which is great!

It is all distance learning and you have to be very motivated to keep on top of everything. I did enjoy the course, however I have made a vow of "no more" and "never again" more than just a few times. The course itself is massive and seems never ending. I would definitely recommend it as long as you can be committed to it. It took up all my spare time outside of work and I mean, ALL.

I must say, I'm happy to have a bit of freedom again

Congratulations everyone! I would love to do this but I work in a practice that doesn't routinely see exotics :( I'm guessing you have to be at an exotics practice? Also is it all distance learning? Just had a look on lantra website but it is not very informative!

Hi Jenny, congratulations! I passed the exam too! I'm glad we get a badge as my employers weren't keen on adding the post nominal to my uniform/badge (??) I'm not sure employers realise how much work we've had to put in to this course :( Well done to everyone I met on the day regardless of their results x
