Thanks for the replies. I discovered on Friday that you can sterilise the Tesco cheap ones at 121C.

Same as Sal! We just use cheap supermarket brushes

I agree with Sal. For our ChroMyco Duo dermatophyte kits I only recommend a new toothbrush not a sterile one.

The Wilkos value and the Tesco everyday value ones - I think they are about 20p for 2 have an inner wrap inside the packaging and whilst I cannot swear to them being sterile we were using them for exactly the same thing at a practice I used to work at. They make good cleaning brushes for clippers too.
