I seemed to remember at some point in life's great journey, I was told that Caninsulin should not be stored in the fridge door as the slamming motion can damage the contents. This may have been a dream as I cannot find any information

RE: Caninsulin Storage

'Special precautions for storage

Store upright and refrigerated between + 2°C and + 8°C. Protect from light. Do not freeze. After first opening store refrigerated at between + 2°C and + 8°C or not above 25°C.'

I am taking that to mean bottles refrigerated and pens below 25C

'VetPen should always be stored or carried with the needle removed and the cap on. To clean VetPen, simply wipe with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water. Keep Caninsulin cartridges refrigerated and protected from light prior to use. Do not freeze.'

have taken quotes from NOAH and the Caninsulin site.

RE: Caninsulin Storage

Hey,

That's great - I assume it's just for the pen and not the actual bottles of caninsulin though?

It's to be kept out of the light, which is why they recommend storing it there, but also why the vet pen is fine out of the fridge with the lid on.

RE: Caninsulin Storage

Thanks for the replies :)

I think I'll advise clients to keep upright and not in the door of the fridge, just in case
