I've seen the hills one but we've recently become a RC practice so thought it might be useful. Any advise on any nutrition course would be greatly received.
The course is booked through your local rep, even if you are 'in between' reps we will have someone covering. Drop us an email at royalcaninvet.gbr@royalcanin.com with your practice details and we'll get you in touch with the right person.

RE: Royal canin pet health counsellor

How do I go about finding out about the PHC course. We currently do not have a rep as they left, several members of our practice have done the course and highly recommend it to me.

RE: Royal canin pet health counsellor

Hi Heather,

As the course is heavily subsidised by Royal Canin, it is only available to practices which stock our products I'm afraid. The PHC course is mainly based on running nurse clinics, so it is not really a nutrition course. If you want to advance your nutritional knowledge then it would be worth looking at the nutrition certificate which we run in conjunction with COAPE. http://www.coape.org/events_details.php?id=24&keyword=5

Hope that helps!

RE: Royal canin pet health counsellor

Does anyone know if your practice has to sell Royal Canin in order to do this course? I work in charity and we don't stock particular diets. Obviously I will need to try and implement nurse clinics within the practice. We are a new practice so don't have much experience of this. What ones did people start with? Did you develop protocols? As not look qualified I'd be nervous bit up for a challenge. I'm liking go for familiar territory first such as cat clinics for Seniors, dental and expanding gradually. Just wondering how people went about starting their clinics

RE: Royal canin pet health counsellor

I'm going in November and can't wait, two other nurses here have been this year and its brilliant!
