Apologies if this is already laid out somewhere and I'm completely missing it! I am an RVN who has been living and working in Australia for the past 3 years. I am planning on coming back to the UK in September and doing some locum work initially

RE: Locuming questions

Hello Katie!

I specialise in placing Veterinary Nurses across the country and work with lots of locums! It's a great time to locum at the minute, RVNs are in really high demand and there's a real shortage, so you've got the pick of the jobs all over the country.

I'd be happy to have a chat with you and answer any questions you might, and I'd love to get you booked in for some work for when you're ready! Many practices offer accommodation, so you shouldn't have a problem.

My details are below, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

i have locum'd on and off for the past 5 years and have used several agencies. Some are more helpful than others. Liberty star have been great.

umbrella companies offer a "payslip" service. So, for a weekly or monthly charge you submit them your timesheet and expenses - petrol, food, professional membership etc.... And they use these to off set you tax so you pay less tax, and get paid a little more. They supply you with a payslip. It is the alternative to doiNh your own tax basically.

More and more practices are offering accommodation as they are struggling to locate local nurses. However, I think that for tax purposes, you would need a permanent address for registration purposes.

Hope this helps
