Its definitely worth keeping an eye out on the WVS trips. I have done a couple of European trips over the year. A brilliant thing to do. The Greek Cat Welfare charity are always looking for VNs and trappers for neutering on the mainland of Greece and the Greek Islands. Their email is greekcatvets@gmail.com. Hope this helps.

I am a member of WVS and unfortunately none of there advertised trips are suitable at the moment, so have emailed them to see if they have any other trips coming up!

Any charities you would personally recommend (in Europe, as i am going out to Africa in January 2016). Also looking at your profile it looks like you have done alot of amazing things in your career!

Great starting point is the WVS website - wvs.org.uk. They support and liaise with numerous charities in Europe and further afield and place teams of nurses and vets where they are most needed.

I have done quite a lot of trip overseas now with WVS and various other organisations and although they can be epically hardwork - and sometimes distressing - they are certainly I feel the most valuable weeks of my career so far!
