Sorry I was told ECC was actually 3 year post qualification, I qualified in June 2013, have been in practice working from the very bottom up since 2004 so lots of experience! Thanks for your help!

If you haven't been qualified long enough to do the ECC then you wont have been qualified long enough to do the DipAVN as that also requires 1 year post qualification experience.

As Nicky said loads of people do the Dip from all over the country, in my group there was a girl coming over from Ireland to do it, people travelling from Scotland and London areas so it can be done, it's only a few weekends a year which while aren't compulsory are very beneficial and gives you time to question the tutors if you don't understand something or are concerned about anything.

Give yourself that year to get some grounding in practice and then look around, there are always plenty of webinars etc to do. You could always do the Caninsulin Diabetes advisor course or ask your food providers (RCW/Hills/Purina) if you can do one of their nutrition advisor type coourses

Most of the dipavn is online, only occasional weekend days in which usually arent compulsory. There are people that do it from all over the country so dont let that put you off. X x x

Vets Now ECC is right up my street but unfortunately not qualified long enough :(
