i have an interview is just under 2 weeks time for a student nurse position.

Can anyone let me know what sort of questions they will ask apart from the usual ones like experience, my strengths/weaknesses etc?
I want to go in fully prepared

RE: Student nursing interview.

Thanks for the great advice!

I'm writing out a load of questions so I at least have a good shot at answering them if they come up lol :)

fingers crossed

Others were a day in the practice and I did get asked why/how long and also got asked about vitals, what to look for in anaesthetics etc. I would recommend to do a bit of revision about the practice, go over basic nursing principles such as the vitals, common conditions/surgeries, wear smart yet practical clothes as you can never be sure what will be involved. I found it helpful discussing what I was most passionate about, so neutering, giving clients advice (I would love to do be doing my own nurse clinics) and general inpatient work. It shows that you have a good idea of what it involved in being a nurse and are looking further a field than your placement. Good luck though!

RE: Student nursing interview.

Thank you :)

My other interview (that was successful) was basically just an informal chat about how the practice works and got asked about my pets over a cup of tea! So there isn't really any set questions that all practices will ask you.

I would say just be yourself, it is always good if you have some good questions to ask. Good luck.
