They're quiet and they clip really well - we are a cat-only practice and use them only for clipping up for i/v's & blood samples. Not cheap but worth it to keep cat stress to a minimum.

RE: quite cat clippers

What about the Wahl Bravmini?

RE: quite cat clippers

I second the Aesculap Exacta. If you can get a spare blade it'd be even better! My blade sharpening company are happy to maintain them just the same as my oster blades.

RE: quite cat clippers

http://www.eickemeyer.co.uk/Pet-Care/Pet-Clippers/Clipper-Aesculap-Isis-Exacta.html

we are using these and I find them very quiet and give a good clip

we have also had these

http://www.burtonsveterinary.com/oster-pro-600i.html

not as quiet and not sure the clip is as good - but that may be in some part down to ours being deposited on the floor courtesy of a pissed off cat. ( we had only had them a week or two at most!)

I know some people like these

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8706791.htm?CMPID=GS001&_$ja=cgid:18091943005|tsid:59156|cid:189934285|lid:96719312845|nw:g|crid:65061493765|rnd:4262573018814642169|dvc:c|adp:1o8|bku:1

but I'm not a fan - was ok for trimming chewing gum out of my cats paws but pretty useless for a veterinary practice - I don't recall ever having to clean the set in the visit bag because nobody will actually use them - they prefer scissors. Even at half price on offer they are too expensive for the job the do.
