I was wondering if any of you trained with the Central College of Animal Studies (CCOAS) or know any one that did?
Is it a college you would recommend for their diploma in Veterinary Nursing?
They run out of a few practices in East Anglia.

RE: Central College of Animal Studies- Any Experience with them?

Hi, thank you so much for replying again. I'm glad you recommend it, it's a relief to hear from someone whos been there. Okay, that sounds reasonable, I think most of the colleges run their courses with just a day at college. So as long as they are helpful and friendly. All the resources sound great too.
I haven't got a practice placement no, I emailed their new vets in Ipswich enquiring about the placements there. So I shall see if anything comes of that. I'm based near Manningtree. So the new centre and practice in Ipswich would be ideal.
Thanks again for your reply.

RE: Central College of Animal Studies- Any Experience with them?

Yeah i would recommend it, the tutors are all really nice and very helpful. I goto their Stowemarket branch, which is a little class room above the vets there. One thing i will say is because you only have one lesson a week you have a lot of information crammed into one day. The first few units werent too hard but i've just started anatomy and i am finding it quite difficult to remember it all as i'm working full time and they are cramming so much into a few hours. However they do provide you with lots of resources like books and revision sessions etc.

You have to find your own practice to work at before they will take you on which can be quite difficult. Have you got a training practice yet? Where abouts are you based?

RE: Central College of Animal Studies- Any Experience with them?

Hi, thank you for responding. I was just wondering if you would recommend them? Are the tutors good? Are the staff generally helpful? Things like that really. What centre do you go to?
Thanks :)

RE: Central College of Animal Studies- Any Experience with them?

I am currently studying through them, what do you want to know?
