Clare and Heather are both correct , as long as an exotic is contained within these types of surgery you are fine. You do not need an exotic for every type of surgery.

I was told the same. As long as over the range of that skill the exotic, cat and dog is covered then it's fine. I think it would be really difficult to get an exotic orthopaedic without being in a referral or specialist practice. I know I didn't have one in my NPL and it's been signed off as fine x

I was told that SAVN15 part 10 (so includes the elective, emergency, minor, major and ortho ops) must include a dog, cat & exotic across all those tasks. So for example I have included exotics for elective and minor. You could simulate it if you want though I think. Although might be worth checking with your college.
