I am looking to update the way we pack our small animal surgical kits in practice. We currently wrap our kits in drapes and pack them in an autoclave bag. Even with a regular change of drapes when they become stained and holey I don't think

RE: Surgical Kits

We use a kit wrap from IMS, big enough to cover the tray well. Fairly cheap these days. Can be brought on the roll or precut. Have used autoclavable boxes from JAK wrapped in disposable drape. Or wrape kit in drape and then put in bags. Also use disposable drape as a drape for VS to cut and use as a fenestrated drape. Either way should be folding evenly to prevent to much coverage to one area of the kit and also use of TST stripes to ensure steam penetration to surgical instruments
