I worked with a vet who clicked the 'become a Dr' button just to wind his brother up (inflated Dr type) at how easy it was to become a Dr. He was sadly saddend however that he couldn't click an 'undo' button.

just noticed the first article in the Veterinary times, that use's this. Dr Nice, seriously at first I thought I was reading the wrong paper, as we do have a pharmacist in the company that gets human publications. and its so confusing.

exactly relabelling the can doesn't change what's inside it but if as a result of the relabelling you expect caviar and you get baked beans it might come as something of a disappointment!

Interestingly (and in no way scientific) judging from the reaction of vet friends on social media, the only ones who have greeted the news with any form of enthusiasm have been the ones with.....Let's say a possibly inflated view of their own aabilities. The nice humble vets have all performed a virtual roll of their eyeballs.

I guess that's been my impression on the websites too. It seems veterinary students were the most in favour. I'd be curious to know what the breakdown of the public vote was.

interestingly, out of the 12 vets i've worked with over the last few days, the only one who wanted to be called Dr was the one with a PhD, and even she wasn't that bothered
