I had this discussion only 2 days ago - its really difficult for practices to take students from different places as different courses have different requirements for placements ie some do blocks and some do 3 days a week college, and different places don't always teach things the same way. So you may find that a TP will only take students from say Harper because it fits in with their practice but wouldn't take students from say Myerscough because it didnt (just examples). I was asked by an ANA student who is starting at Myerscough this September on the degree nursing course if we would become a TP for her placements and the final word will be with the boss but I have said a definite no . It doesn't mean I wont help people to find placements elsewhere tho

There is a list of all approved TP's on the RCVS website. Some practices are funny about which students they take and where they are from - I contacted over 100 practices before securing a place, and that was a good few years ago when there were a lot less students.

something will turn up and from what I understand Myerscough will find something if you can't find anywhere

Doesn't sound like Myerscough are doing very well for placements - I am looking on behalf of another of their students
