I think it speaks very well of you that in spite of everything, you have the welfare of your colleagues and your patients in your heart. It sounds like you've done everything you can; but there comes a point when you have to concentrate on your health and wellbeing as well.

I wish you every success - now get some rest!

RE: I'm leaving, so its not my problem but I'm still concerned

i feel for you, you're leaving but you are not happy with the situation you leave the practice in and there isn't a great deal of advice I can offer you. There are many clinics out there who fly by the seat of their pants and seem to manage fine without any problems at all, that doesn't mean we have to find it easy to live with, as we frequently wonder about the 'what if' scenarios that inevitably will happen at some time. Try not to worry, after all it is not your responsibility, and when an untrained member of the team is providing care the ultimate responsibility is the vets, although the emotional distress is often carried by the team member when things go sour. Is your practice PSS? In there it does state that you must be able to prove that lay staff have been given formal documented training In areas they may assist in.....would that help? Try and look forward to your next challenge and hope not to find yourself in a situation that you feel is unacceptable in the future. Good luck.

RE: I'm leaving, so its not my problem but I'm still concerned

It's perfectly legal... so there are no grounds to go to the RCVS.

RE: I'm leaving, so its not my problem but I'm still concerned

Can u not report this to rcvs?
