I had something similar the other day...but it arrived in the form of a letter from a fairly well known corporate chain of practices stating a new branch was opening near me and they would love to have me on board....guess there's nothing stopping companies going through the list of RVNs but I didn't think this published our home address??!

Yep, same happened to me a while back - think the company was populas or something. I'd locumed for a couple yrs previously so thought it was through that and just declined. But when we were emailing around agents to advertise a position my manager contacted them - turns out it is just cold calling. They (for a fee) go looking for nurses compared to other agents who wait for nurses to come to them. They check practice websites to see who works there, then call them. I guess they get lucky sometimes, and had they done that to me in a previous job I probably would have shown interest, but it was so awkward being phoned at work, and feels even more shady when they ask for your mobile number so you can talk more in private later on.

I had one on Tuesday and again yesterday - like you I couldn't catch the name of the company. Also contacted at work which I was non too pleased about and also asked for by name. If you 1471 the number it is with held. Last locum work I did was 2010 and not looking for any locum work. Puzzling
