Struggling with what feels like the world infact.
I absolutely LOVE being a vet nurse, but I just feel like i've lost my mojo.
I'm just about to sit my VnCertECC exams,

RE: Struggling

Hi Louise,

Sounds like you've got a lot on your shoulders. Deferring might not be a bad option to take some of the pressure off for now.

I ended up dropping the ECC course completely, just before taking my exams, despite doing all of the coursework. I felt like I'd written essays I didn't fully understand and that there was too much to get my head around. Along with a change in job and country, it was too much for me. I really hope you manage to go for it, but don't feel like a failure if you have to defer (or even call it quits).

Best of luck

RE: Struggling

Hi Louise,

I am not a head nurse but am also doing the ECC course. I have also decided to defer the exam until September. I just felt there was so much to learn, and the essays took up so much time that it would be easier to try to make a longer revision plan that worked for me. Maybe deferring could take some of the pressure off for you? Have you spoken to your tutor- they may be able to offer some advice.

Maybe you could get some of your colleagues involved with your revision- that way they can see just how difficult the course is, and learn something new :)

RE: Struggling

I am also a head nurse, and have been for a year or so, and i find it really hard. You've taken on a lot. Youll be doing a much better job than you think you are!

RE: Struggling

Hi Louise,

Sorry to hear your struggling with everything. I am also doing my cert vn ecc, I was due to sit in March next month, but I was finding nothing was going in. And I started to forget or more couldn't remember the most simple things. The reason = stressing over the exam. So I decided to take action and sit in September. I already feel so much better and feel a weight has been lifted of my shoulders. I have more time to revise at a more relaxable pace. When I do sit the exam I feel I will be so much more prepared, and will pass. It is hard doing the course and working full time let alone being head nurse too. So give yourself a pat on the back and don't be so hard on yourself. If you go on moodle you can find me on there and chat if you wish.

all the best and good luck.
