hi, not been able to get on the site for last hour as said down for maintainance. but it had dates from november 2014 on the screen. wierd.

sorry but I may have a problem - sometimes when doing a post its impossible to quote part of a previous post, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't - tonight it isnt working

Could be something cached on your machine - try pressing ctrl at the same time as the page refresh button, to force it to display the latest stuff.

If that fails, need to know your machine/browser type in order to see if I can replicate the problem, because it looks fine to me!

the site isn't fitting on my screen tonight I'm having to scroll to the right to see everything. all other sites I'm looking at are as normal

Well, looks like we really have cracked it, as I haven't seen any more crashes since.

Er. Um. Well, it's not me personally! But now we've got that fixed, the techies are now working on various other things, including a development of the job section to reintroduce an rss feed of jobs, and also email subscription and more sophisticated geographical search.

Turned out to be a very complex glitch, which has taken ages to sort out. But we are now reasonably confident the problem is fixed - site hasn't crashed again in nearly 24 hours now.
