Hi, my name is Emily and I recruit locum and permanent veterinary nurses here at Purosearch. As I deal with 100s of locums and put them into placements every day I would advise that the average hourly rate for an experienced (and qualified) candidate would be from £13-£14per hour.

Obviously my job is to get my candidates as much as possible but some practices won't pay over the odds understandably.

I'm sure you'll be fine! Take a notebook, write things down, and don't be scared to ask lots of things! :)

Jill I'd love to attend but I start sooner than the duration of the course. Also I'm more concerned about having forgotten skills etc as I've been out of practice for quite some time. I hope I don't let anyone down, and pick things up again quickly...!

I'd be guided by the locum agency as to what practices will pay in the area you are planning on working in, but to give you an idea, the going rate is between £10 and £15/hour.

Some practices will offer accomodation as part of the package, FOC.

We run a course in locum nursing if you need any support.

I don't know much about loci mint but I know my friend charges £14p/h!!!
