Anyone got any storage tips for stock? We've always struggled with space, especially as we do a lot of bulk orders, but we will have more room shorfly and I'm trying to get organised. We've cupboard space to work with, but want it as organised and

RE: Storage

Cardboard poster tubes are handy for urinary catheters. You could try keeping splints together with elastic bands. I find drawers the best only sometimes they aren't deep enough. If you can keep dressings or bandages in the boxes that they come in they'll not fall all over the place or if you have someone DIY orientated then a little bar running along the front of the shelf in the cupboard might help to stop stuff sliding out as soon as the door opens. I'm very lucky as my student nurse is super good at finding space in a cupboard where I see none!! Stuff that is being used is in the cupboard and surplus goes on the top of the cupboard. As we recently go a digital processor which fits in our X-ray room the dark room is now a store room.

RE: Storage

Great ideas so far.

How do people currently store dressings and splints?

RE: Storage

Cutlery dividers inside drawers can be useful again replacing tatty cardboard boxes.

RE: Storage

Oh I love the shoes storage idea! This would be great for our large storage cupboard :)

We're the same and always struggle to keep things organised, we use a lot of the stacking storage tubs you get from Ikea and re-using carboard boxes which don't look as appealing :-/

RE: Storage

Also if there is anywhere to hang it Ikea do some very reasonably priced wardrobe shelf things. Made of material and velcro over the hanging pole with boxes in. Fairly spacious as made for clothes so can fit quite a lot in them x

RE: Storage

Yes, these ideas are great thanks!

RE: Storage

What about the hanging pockets you can buy for storing shoes etc on the back of a door (inside the cupboard)? Handy pocket space without taking up shelving space. Clear fronts to the pockets so you can see what's in them...

Possibly try something like plate stacking racks for storing flat items separately to one another but in a column upwards...space saving.

Use one of those plastic/wooden multiple drawer units inside the cupboard...

Depending on size of cupboard/what you need to store, use those wire (or plastic) trays that sit in a frame.

Is this the sort of ideas you are looking for?
