Well just got back from hols on Friday, and luckily no disappering acts whilst we were away. Phew.

They are little horrors aren't they?!

My cat has had 2 disappearing acts now. Both for 24hrs. The first time he was locked in my neighbours garage. Don't know where he went the second time, but he came back.

It's so worrying, they can lose their scent if its windy though...when that happens as awful as it sounds, put yours (or a mans work best) socks outside. It's a strong smell of you and drifts for miles apparently, guiding them home :)

Yeah one of mine went missing for 4months - I'd got a new kitten and one day she just turned up wanting food. Don't think they realise your going insane whilst their away!! Little sods x x

I remember one of my previous cats going missing. We had some workmen in the flat and could I hell as like find the little git afterwards, went round tapping wall etc incase he had crawled inside the cavity before the workmen replaced the plasterboard..... and 2 hours later a phone call. 'Er hello love - I was working in your flat earlier this afternoon. Could you tell me do you have a black and white cat as I seem to have found one in the back of my van?'

Bomber came back with the workmen the next day having had a little trip to Doncaster in a works van, spent the night in somebody elses kitchen being fed tuna ad lib - and looking I might add rather pleased with himself

I used to work in a kennels and cattery at weekends and holidays when I was at school. One of our regular cats once went missing (from home, not the cattery!!), owners phoned all vets to report it, leaflet drop round whole area, posters up all over - no response at all. They carried on for a couple of months, eventually gave up and got another kitten - SIX MONTHS later the cat strolled in through the cat flap like he'd never been away!

The little sod turned up at 7.30pm last night!

Conveniently an hour after we went round posting leaflets round the estate!

He had some food and then sodded off again! AND he's not come back this morning.

BAD CAT!

BTW is he Chipped?? if he is it might be worth calling petlog, i know at weekends they have flags up on E mails just incase a member of the public calls to say a cat has been in their garden a few days, there is usually a description of the cat and the area

ask around the neighbours!!! my friend a few years ago lost her cat for about a week and he was found in the foundations of a conservatory being built!! he was very skinny but he survived

I am sorry to hear about Felix going missing.

One of my cats went missing for about a week and then walked back into the house one eveing demanding supper.

It is always worth while asking neighbours to look in their sheds and garages. Is it half term in your area? As people may have shut up sheds and then gone away so it is worth asking around especially if a neighbour is keeping an eye on a friends house.

I hope he turns up soon.

One of my cats went missing for just over 2 weeks, a few years ago, and she had just gone a little bit out of the area she knew... she had been living at the bottom of someones garden for the 2 weeks and as they started feeding her, she just stayed..... I advertised every3 days or so in the local paper and posted loads of notes.. I had almost given up hope, when she got brought back... It was a happy reunion all round!

I hope he comes back soon but just keep letting as many people know as often as possible.... We like to think we know our cats well, but they always seem to have a secret life we don't know about!

One of my cats was in my neighbours attic, he heard her rummaging around when he was in bed. He had been up the attic that day himslef so the ladders were out and his door was open.

The same cat also wakened him at 4 am after falling asleep on his head

No worries. Hope he comes back soon. I was really upset when Batfink when missing, she is now a house kitty cat!

Good luck finding him. It is worth check with all your neighbours you never kno wiv the hot weather this weekend, he may of snuck in someones garage or shed

Rang Vetcare and the oncall vet said ring them tomorrow between 11 and 11.30 as they've got an emergency clinic on.

I'll try Armac.

The only neighbours house Flick has ever been in is next door, and he only goes in when we are there.

I have a suspiscion that he goes quite far on his night time prowls though.

Praying he comes back soon.

Knock on your neighbours and ask them to check their sheds and garages.

My batfink went missing for a whole week. In the end she was shut in next doors house whilst they were away on holiday! Naughty little girl

I do hope he comes back soon. Good luck finding him. Have you tried Armac know its over Bury way but they have emergancy service. Do Vetcare use Petmedcs or do their own?? good luck
