Sorry forgot to answer last post of your....often not want a new paragraph just a new line for different sentance so it seperates but comtinues and makes it easier to read.

Above not possible on a phone as rtn doubles shift rtn for next line doesnt work it at least a computer you can swear and sort.

Much appreciated if you can sort that the above locum problem page turn the locum perm job thing we discussed and umm well just thanks :-).

Arlo when l am on phone...android l go into jobs and am only able to access page one. When l try for 2 or others it wont budge. As l often dont have computer connection this is ...annoying.

Tried it via wifi and 3g etc none move it on :-(

OK - so now I understand. Sorry it's been driving you batty all this time. I guess it's personal taste. I just think it's normal! (i.e. when I write a new paragraph, I want more spacing between the paras).

But I suppose I'd be equally comfortable hitting return a couple of times when I wanted a new paragraph, and I can't imagine this is a difficult thing to change.

So I will look into it for the next round of tweaks. As I say, that'll be coming in the New Year.

Interested to hear if anyone else finds it problematic that when you press return, it starts a new para with double line spacing.

Nope this is the ONLY one that does it has done for years and drives me BATTY l have nearly slung computer out the window before now.
A return should take you down ONE not 2 lines and shift should never be needed.

l am going to stop pressing shift here and people can try work out what l am writing had enough of back space and messing about.

If it is hard to read not my problem any more.

But it has always done that! It's a standard thing - return=new para (with extra space). Shift return=new line (on the next line).

I think what Caro means is that when you write posts and you press return it puts a blank line between paragraphs unless you hold shift at the same time

return without shift
return with shift, personally it doesn't really bother me though

Hi Caro,

That was one of the first things I discussed with the techies. As a result of the point you raised, we actually decided to go a step further and turn the jobs section into a full blown application, which will mean jobs are better integrated within the search function and you'll be able to define which sort of jobs you get email alerts for.

We'll be releasing this early in the New Year, which is not so far away, and I'm afraid we have to live with the fact that the job filter thing works on job title rather than job type in the meantime. But it is only for a few weeks!

I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!

Double line when you hit return??? When you hit return when? After posting in the forum? I don't remember seeing a double line. Where is this double line? It may be specific to the type of machine you are using, so I can't see it.

Point C. If you look at any list of posts in the forum, there are four different links at the top: 'All recent', 'Unanswered', 'Unread' and 'Your Discussions'. The last one is the one that lists any thread you have posted in.

So ... Point A, I am having fixed as a priority, but won't be ready for a few weeks. Point B, I need to understand what you mean. Point C is there already.

If anyone else is seeing a double line, would you let me know, please!
