I am trying to find out how much soda-lime should be refilled into the canister, once emptied. We have different nurses, each doing it differently. Do you fill to the top?, or do you half fill? if so where too??
Any help with clarification

RE: Circle rebreathing system.

There should be a line around the top showing a fill line. You need to ensure that the septum in the centre of the canister is covered. If not this will allow gases to flow back to patient without it flowing thru the soda lime as it will follow the path of least resistance. If there is no fill line I would contact the manufacturer or check instruction booklet. Hope this helps.
