Hi Arlo

Is there an easy way to look at the CPD events I have created? I tried looking on my activity section on my profile but it only brought one event up and I still had to scroll through all my posts to find that one. Also is there a possibility of being able to upload booking forms to the events at all?

And tonight l got lucky dont have access to main computer at present place and do not own a tablet.. stop being a phoneist and an androidist.

I can post and read main forum on the phone just the messages l have a problem... so far

Hi Arlo now on computer so longer reply.

No drop down is there and when l click on the My Conversations it just loops back to the page and l choose the drop down my conversations and we loop and then we loop and then... well you get the idea.

Also message l just read finally asked if l had removed stuff from wiki as it said not available. I replied nope speak to you it is either a result of the upgrade or your deranged mind (from the upgrade) the stuff is in cyber space someplace

Currently linked to from the home page. But may reinstate as a top level navigation thing too. Still working away configuring everything.

There are four tabs on the page you post a new event.

Click the fourth tab: additional options. For 'Event Type' select 'Course'

Also, if you want people to be able to RSVP and show others they are on the course, be sure to select the Attendees and RSVP tab, and select 'Site Members' can RSVP.

That second feature isn't working at the moment - we're just fixing it. Should be a nice way to see who else is on the course.

As regards Manage Events. No, that's not there any more. But there should be a list in your profile. Actually, I am just going to check that now. Might need to press a button or two.

Hi Arlo, looks good so far !

I mainly use the site for posting my CPD so I've just got a couple of questions about that - thought I'd post them here and then if anyone has the same questions they'll already be answered.

1) My courses are online, but they're not webinars, they're courses. How can I get it to show this? (ie green 'courses')

2) You used to be able to 'manage courses' and see a whole list of all your own posted CPD, but I can't find this. It makes it really hard to quickly see what I have on the calendar!

The recurrence thing is great - makes it much easier than copy and paste! Also easier to embed images...

Hi Caro,

I'm a bit confused by that!

But I think the problem is that drop downs and stuff don't display / work very well on small smartphone screens.

This latest upgrade so far seems to work very well on iPads (I haven't tested on other tablets yet).

We plan to produce a new responsive design specifically for smaller smartphones in the New Year.

Meantime, best viewed on a desktop or tablet.

Hi Chris,

Email alerts have not yet been re-installed in the jobs section. I want to look at upgrading that feature so you can be a bit more specific about the alerts you get ... ie. By location / job type. I'll come back with more news on this next week.[/quote]

Have now reviewed and had further discussions about our job section. Email alerts will be returning along with additional enhancements to that section. Unlikely before Christmas, but pretty soon after.

Caro, further investigation ... seems you were subscribed to the forum I was moving posts into. I've finished the housekeeping and unsubscribed you, so you won't get another flood of emails.

Ironically, this new website gives you much greater control over what email alerts you get. Forum subscriptions are handled here:

http://www.vetnurse.co.uk/f/forumsubscriptions.aspx

and you can change your settings for what other kinds of activity you get email alerts for in the main menu item 'Edit My Profile' (e.g. if someone sends you a private message, or mentions you).

Sorry Caro, I was just doing some housekeeping and moving posts from one forum to another. I ticked the box marked not to send you emails, but it seems to have done so anyway. No need to mark me as spam (I'd be grateful if you didn't because with some programs that counts as a black mark against us). I'll check your profile settings and make sure all email notifications are switched off until I have finished tidying up.

Sorted - it was my computer screen, not your browser. Please feel free to hit me with the 'nitwit stick'

(Network manager did a big upgrade and it reset my screen preferences - i thought everything looked a bit bright!)

Hmm - well it always was white, and it's white on VetSurgeon! Think it would be harder than you think to change the background colour, because it would affect lots of different elements.

I've now uploaded gawd knows how many CPD events, only to find the list view isn't working correctly yet. Also configured all the forums better now. \

Now to get the profile section and email system working again. Then we'll be off to the races ...

Hi Lizzy, that isn't the website. It's your browser. You'll need to go into the tools or settings in your browser menu, and clear saved form data. How you do this depends on your setup.
