TBH I think this is to do with the wording of the question.

You are correct that a vitamin D deficiency will lead to the disease but, as a vitamin D deficiency is very unlikely in a carnivore, it isn't relevant to the question. The development of the disease is almost entirely due to feeding a diet low in calcium or high in phosphorus. I can only assume that is what he is referring to. But I may be wrong!

better not have - i paid enough to do the course, the very least i can expect is for HIM to read the questions! Grr.

im just cross because it was marked wrong and he hasent told me what the answer should be - i cant resumbit the work and i cant get hold of him either.

for a bloody expensive course i expected a bit more guidance TBH.

oh i read it wrong. i'm running on empty folks, not had much sleep(queen calling her head off) and bleeding like a pig. I still stand by what i said with not focusing on calcium though either way. :) *downs the rest of her cider* :burp:

i mean vitamin d.... bloody hell lol i seriously need to stop thinking.

Steph-hypothyroidism and hyperparathyroidism are different, the latter resulting from a diet deficient in calcium/excess phosphorus.
