In the past I did the city and Guilds cert in sa nutrition and I thought the coape would be a progression further, it isn't. The course is ok but I find the course notes vague and i have yet to use the books they gave me discuss diets in diseases and so far have it helped to answer and of the questions. Unit 1 is anatomy, Unit 2 energy requirements and marketing, unit 3 life stage diets. Unit 4, the last is on prescription diets so the books might be helpful.

There is alot of self reading if you want to achieve this, personally I wish I'd waited and done the one run by the bvna. Think the course would improve if they included some cpd days, webinars into the notes.

RE: Nurses certificate in small animal nutrition

Hi

I have just signed up to the Coape course canine/feline nutrition certificate. It starts in Febuary and RCW are currently offering a Bursary towards it if you apply though them. Not sure what the course is going to be like yet, but thought I would try it....
