I had never used Purina until joining my current practice and have to say I have no complaints. I have never had any clients I have suggested it to say their pets do not like it. I have also had lots of people tell me it is an easily digested food, therfore less poop to scoop.

I have just completed the nutrition course they do. i felt it was informative enough but not over my head. It is split into about 6 modules, you have a booklet to study and a series of questions to answer for each module.The 1st and 2nd sections can be a bit hard going but its gets much easier after that. Mind you I have not got the results back from my tests yet so may have failed completely!! It is good becouse you can do it at your own pace and its free CPD.

My cats now wont eat anything else other than Purina!

They used to get a pouch every now and again as a treat because they LOVE it and as soon as you go to get one they come running and now they don't even eat them anymore! I get the Purina out and I dont get left alone by them!!

They look really good on it too!

yes my cats are all now on the purina vital age, they love it and have to admit that they are all looking pretty good on it. We are a Hills practice my mine wont eat it!!!! eshk!

My cats love the adult range, I couldnt get it in the bowl quick enough. Dogs not tried it yet as we didnt have any samples (cat only practice) but might have to have a word with the rep

I really like the range from what I've seen so far! x

We have recently changed to Purina.

We were RCW but only prescription diets,with Purina we are stocking both life stage and prescription diets.

I really rate the life stage diets, my cats and dogs love them and people have stopped me when i am out walking my dogs to ask me what i feed them on as they look so healthy!

The life stages are not overly complicated and the support material is really good.

Your Purina rep should be able to provide you with a nutrition folder which is really informative and has several sections with multi choice questons at the end of each section.On completion of this you should get a certificate from Purina ( i think) and a snuggly Purina fleece.

Our practice runs weight clinics( new to me) and i use the o/m diets with great success( mostly dogs) , again Purina should provide you with a "kit" containing lealfets/posters/client booklets/a disposable camera ( for before and after piccies) and a really wierd rubbery "pound of fat" to showt o clients.

As well as being new to the Purina brand,i am also new to running nurse clinics such as weight watchers so i have bent the ears of the technical support team quite frequently and they are very helpful

I also work in a Purina practice, having only ever previously worked in Hills practices.

I have to say, I definitely prefer the Purina products (as do my pets!). Not only are they better quality, they're cheaper, they don't do cruel experiments on animals, and the company itself is fantastic. Staff at my practice get a free 15kg bag of dog food or a 3kg bag of cat food each every couple of months, they give us plenty of puppy/kitten packs, and whenever we want any freebies for raffle prizes etc. they never fail to provide them!

I got a dalmatian last June, he weighed 46kg when I got him - Purina provided me with OM for him in exchange for regular photos, and he's now down to his ideal 32kg - in 10 months! So, I regularly rave to clients about their weight loss programme, and if I'm honest the only times I haven't seen animals' weights drop off is when the clients aren't following the diet correctly.

So yeh... I love Purina :-)

When we opened our practice we had decided not to stock any one particular brand - due to space & being open to variety. But 2 years down the line, we've found that Purina diets seem to be the tastiest, better tolerated & good value for money. We are now stocking Purina, we all feed out animals on Purina & are recommending to our puppies & kittens.

I've got a older cat who has renal disease but wouldn't eat any renal diet, he's now happily scoffing NF both wet & dry food!

I have my cat on OM as she never lost any weight on the RCW, suppose its what diet suits the individual. I fnd their range very palatable and easy to follow.

I'm a Purina fan too

I have my 2 senior dogs on Pro Plan senior, and one of my cats on Pro Plan too - he is fussy and this is the only food he will eat!

My only problem has been with the other cat who is obese - Tried him on the OM diet, which he loved, but he actually put on more weight!! I was very strict too and only gave him the correct amount :/

I rang my rep today and was talking about the nutrition course, I asked how much it was, so I could set some money aside at pay day and its free! excellent! signed myself up and the receptionists too.

Speak to your rep about the nutrition course, its very similar to the original VNA. I would think she should offer it to you.

All the reps are 2months behind on sample orders as we're short too and tried to order some more, they're awaiting their supply so I would imagine it would be with you shortly

Have to admit I tried the samples on my three fussy cats and I couldnt get it into the bowl quick enough! The loved it.

Any idea how I go about the nutrional specialist course? Contact the rep? I know shes coming to do lunch and learn shortly so might chat to her about it then.

Our order came this morning, I like the range, nice and simple and good food. and it looks nice
