Are you able to look at what modules are included at level 8 by other VN degree providers? The problem is including foundation versions of your level 8 modules at level 7 (and sometimes 6) as the advanced content of some level 8's will need prior learning (e.g. Some of the hard science and behaviour modules) - this eats into the timetable for the rest of the nursing syllabus. Most degrees include practice management now.

Is this a top up Degree for RVNs?

If so I'd be seriously interested in it.

But as someone else mentioned it needs to be affordable, and possibly modular and completed via distance learning.

I would love to do more exotics, we basically got one 6 hour lecture (+portfolio) on them and I just don't think that's enough! I would also have loved more on Schedule 3 procedures :)

Business development, training students, practice management. You need variety - for me physio rehab and behaviour would be definite.no's as dont interest me so need to cater for everyone

Thanks for the feedback. I think physiotherapy, rehabilitation, exotics and behaviour are definates! I shall put those forward to the Head of department. Surgical, medical, anaesthesia, nutrition, pharmacology, dentistry, radiography, business development?

100% agree with this! Think more physiotherapy and rehab is needed in the syllabus

Pharmacy stuff. However cost needs to be affordable - lots if nurses cant afford continuing education. Payment plans or similar needed, or some scholarships for some nurses to open it up to those who cant afford it.

Have you thought of asking some of the practices local to you what they would like to be covered for their nurses

Hi For me I think more exotic nursing. I've done the city and guilds certificate but found a huge gap in my knowledge between that and the nursing course.
