I work in a lovely little practice but alas it's full of STUFF. Paper stuff, food stuff, stuff that predates my birth.
How long does everything need keeping for ?
i.e. x-rays , consent forms samples the lot.
It's amazing what can

Re: A lifetime of hoarders

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm slowly wading through years of stuff. I've found 3 broken fluid pumps so far alongside many other things .

On the 12th days of cleaning my practice unearthed for me ......

12 cow speculums,

11 preserved masses,

10 open ear cleaners,

9 boxes of Xrays!

8 random screws,

7 mouldy books,

6 boxes of bandages

5 packs of large animal kit

4 OOD suture boxes

3 broken fluid pumps

2 portfolios

And my mojo has goone to hide.

And breathe ......

If you boss is adamant on keeping everything "just incase" perhaps you could scan it into a hard drive and shred all the paper work therefore you still have a copy but it takes up no room :D . that's what we do.
