She was bitching about a clinic she had been too with her dog. I turned round to look and it was a lady who I had seen last

Re: Bitching session!

whilst at a craft fair a few months ago I was listening to two breeders comparing the cost of a caesarian (neither of them our clients happily). One was telling the other that £400 for a caesar in the early hours of Sunday was daylight robbery (bulldog breeder) whilst the other thought £250 for a chihuahua caesar was more than enough because after all it was smaller than her cat and it had only cost £45 to have the cat spayed. They then both went on to discuss the cost of one of their puppies (1100 for a bulldog and 600 for a chihuahua). I know the chihuahua breeder just to speak to in passing and she asked me how much we would charge for a caesar - my reply 'not enough by the sounds of it'

Re: Bitching session!

Oooh.
1) ignore it and carry on happily dispensing your advice on the same terms as before (rise above it).

2) next time you see her (if indeed you do) ask if there are any issues relating to a budget that you must keep in mind when recommending anything and take it from there...

3) combo of both 1) & 2) - call her and ask how she is getting on (happily ignoring any issues you have already heard 'out of practice') and at this point ask if there are any budget restrictions you need to bear in mind for future recommendations/advice.

Hope this helps?!
