Did you do the Level 3 nursing diploma (run by City & Guilds)?
And if you did, did it take two years?
And the RCVS exams at the end of each year - were they Multiple choice only at the end of the first and multiple

Re: Newly qualified nurses - I have a question....

I dont see it as a cant be bothered option - I see it more as students being encouraged to find their own answers rather than them being spoon fed

Re: Newly qualified nurses - I have a question....

Hi Alison! For the formal CAW interpretation, you're best discussing specifics with the admin team. For a general overview, blended learning is classroom learning, enhanced with complementary online lessons that you will complete in your own time, which will give additional coverage of critical subject areas. So it is not a 'we can't be bothered' option, I promise!

Re: Newly qualified nurses - I have a question....

Hey Mark,

I asked what 'blended learning' meant once and was told it's face to face tutoring together with on-line self-service? So was that correct? I ended up understanding it to mean self-motivated 'read around the subject' twinned with my formal class routines - though it was also on-line based in class sometimes. Can you give us a more formal CAW interpretation please (reason for me asking is I will (hopefully) have some students soon and would like to be prepared!).

That's not *exactly* how blended learning is designed...

Re: Newly qualified nurses - I have a question....

ive just completed the level 3 diploma in vet nursing it was 3 years but cut down to 2 years with something extra (blended learning) which is basically the stuff they cant be arsed to teach you in class you have to learn yourself. It's all changed again anyway but I think its still a three year course - at least that's what our newest trainees are doing.
