Finally sucess! I sent one last email stating that I would be contacting data protection office and have had confirmation email that all my details have been removed .. This I shall keep just in case!

Next time they call just say you are now working for (different recruitment agency) then spend the rest of the phone call doing what they do and try to recruit them to made up jobs until they hang up

I innocently made inquiries once (and only once) through this same company before being warned about their tactics by some colleagues. "Oh oh, said me, what've I done?" This was a prophetic cry....

Two or more years later still being bombarded - as previous poster has said, goes quiet and then they resurrect! That is until I blocked every call made on my phone and all emails. Frustrating but well worth it. They're a right royal pain in the buttocks in my opinion as when does "No thanks" or "I'm not looking for a position now or ever", "No" or (eventually) "Go away and leave me alone you pest" get through the barrier of thick skin?! Slowly.... if at all in some cases. Full marks for their persistence though I guess, haha. Hard sales and targets driven = hard-nosed delivery, IMHO!

But seriously, they are like barracuda's (insulting to a lovely fish but the closest I can come to a polite version of what I really think...). Having said all this, if you want to find a position then I guess they do fulfil that requirement (no experience if they are good at it or not).

Oh God I get this too!! 8 years later!!! I have asked repeatedly for them not to contact me and still.. the phonecalls come - usually everytime they get a new member of staff trawling the databases... bloody annoying!

Contact the data protection office explain the situation. They should send a nicely worded letter about breaking the law if said company continues they should then get slapped with a nice juicy fine.

Do a google to get the details of the Data Protection Office can not remember it buy have used them for help in the past.

hazarding a guess this is the one beginning with the letter R - it took a long time ( I am talking years) but they haven't contacted me for over a year now . I think once they get your details they never let them go
