I have been in touch with a few zoo vet nurses recently. Apparently, there are only about a dozen of us in the UK. There is already a yahoo forum for ZooVNs. Here is the link:

did you have any luck with finding others interested in setting up a ZooVN forum?

Assume not as havent found it online! Im defo up for joining but hopefully we can get someone to do the hard work of getting it going ;)

he he, me too...I worked in Dubai at a Zoo there and seemed to spend most of my days looking at poo or sperm samples!

I have spent some time in South Africa and have also witnessed this "sport". Thankfully I didn't have to participate!

we'll do well together - at college all we seemed to do at the farm was "poo-picking" and on the trip to South Africa we had an "impala dung spitting" contest....

think I'll be in touch, I live just down the road from Howletts - didn't know it had their own VN's....
I did my college work experience at a smaller wildlife park, then branched off into vet nursing.[quote user="Kerry Anderson"]

I know VNs have gone to BVZS meetings although it is mainly vets. The zoo VNs I met as a student all seemed to know each other informally anyway.
