Blimey i've never heard of this before! Jack is a paper shredder when left along so we have a cage on the door to catch post when we're not in...which my dad had to modify cos one day came home and there was an empty sample pack of James Wellbeloved food he'd managed to get out of the cage!!

i have seen a westie with its jaws shut because he chewed newspapers!
it was kind of a good thing really that it was an unbelieveble evil b@%$£*&@!
And because he wanted to bite everyone of us he managed to get his jaws open and we could remove the news paper with some very long forceps

when I first read the first post I was waiting for the punchline but this actually happens although I have never heard of it. Its one of those things that you wouldn't automatically think of.

My Bonnie once ate a whole bar of Green & Black's organic chocolate which had been lovingly posted by my magazine subscription!! Quick trip to the vet to make her puke, but since then she has a real taste for chocolate! Can sniff it out anywhere - has eaten full box of Diary Box, Thorntons Continental and has chewed through Hannah's school bag to get a a Mars which was there!!

I think we had a similar one but it was before I started at the practice.

It's a nightmare.

My dogs aren't allowed in the hall when we aren't at home, and they aren't mail eaters, so thank god we don't have that problem!

hi, i remember a few years ago we had a little terrier in that had eaten newspaper, which had mached his mouth together!! quite scary!! we had to try and get the paper out with forceps!

Hmmm, mine do that, they dont chew it, they just like to put their stamp on it.... if you get what i mean
