Hiya Katherine,

When I qualified I was offered £20,000 at a first opinion practice no OOh 1 in 4 sat. I turned it down for some referral work to get a taste of something a bit different. That was in the NE England. A good friend of mine has just quailifed and she has been offered £20K aswell as a similar practice down in the south east. I belive standard starting is any where from £16k to £20k depending on area etc. Hope this helps :D

I have just passed and will be on £8 an hour. Similar sounding work hours/style as yours. I think larger companies like PDSA pay more than private companies as I've seen that PDSA start at just over £18k a year which is about £9.50 an hour. I'm just happy to be on more than minimum wage after everything I have been through to qualify!

Look at what local practices are offering for Neely qualified nurses. Prob best. And ask other nurses what they were offered on qualifying
