We had a pre vn come to my old work in dunfermline called heather she lived in dline to - in fact she was in my year at high school- no idea if she is still nursing or qualified though!

We have one first opinion vet and two ortho surgeons , one ANA and six soon to be seven RVNs

My next practice has

9 vets, 8 qualified nurses, 2 student nurses, 1 nursing assistant.

Branch practices have 5 nursing assistants between them.

We have 2 full time vets, 3 part time vets, 2 part time qvn's, 2 part time receptionists, 5 full time qvn's, 3 aca's

We have 9 vets, 5 RVN's, 4 SVN's and 1 kennel assistant aswell as full time receptionists and lab staff.

2 F/T , 2 P/T vets

2 RVN, 1 SVN, 3 auxillary nurses

2 F/T and 1 P/T receptionist.

and we are always all busy! Don't know how practices function on a poor vet:nurse ratio - I was talking to a (vet) friend recently who works 56 hours per week basic +overtime + 1:3 rota (she's nuts) in a practice with 5 vets and 2 nurses! No wonder the vets have to work so many hours!!! Very inefficient.
