I have just done my first week ever in practice as a VCA (with a view to go on to train as a VN eventually) but I've already worked a few hours overtime - not been asked its just that the practice was busy so no one left until all the clients

Re: overtime

All practices are different. You may just get payed for it without question but maybe you need to fill out an overtime sheet? Best to ask your head nurse or just anyone in the practice who has been there for a while. If you need any help with your VCA, just ask. Im half way through mine now.

Re: overtime

it varies from place to place - best bet is to ask your head nurse
