If so this should give you the opportunity to rise any concerns you have. It's not just a opportunity for your manager to praise/areas of improvement. You should also be given opportunity to say what you like and dislike about your role.

Re: career advice needed please

Everyone should feel valued *big hugs*

If you aren't try to work out what it is particularly that is making you unhappy, there may be a way round it . I took time out for a little while and it is by far the best thing I could have done .I returned to nursing feeling refreshed and that I actually meant something with my opinion valued. It can be a rough profession and quite often , I feel , that it's the little things that have a massive impact. It sounds utterly tedious but I got the point where each day I went home and tried to look for a positive. When you feel your in a rutt we often overlook the great things and the good moments.

Are there any "live in " vacancies which may make bills a little easier ? A change of scenery ?

Maybe talk to a rep ? They are generally a friendly bunch who will happily talk to you and share their experiences .

Sorry it's a bit vague .We all feel a bit pants from time to time. Luckily for us we are in a profession full of wonderful people who genuinely care. :) We all need someone to lean on from time to time x

Keep your chin up, hug squishy faced dogs and tell old ladies their dogs are well-loved (fat) .......it'll bring your smile back
