I wonder if Id take more heed if I was emailed a reminder, mind you theres still the liklihood I would delete it.

I get texts to worm one of the dogs and I think in theory its a good idea but I am v guilty of reading it,deleting it and then forgetting...........

from a personal point of view l would be very pissed off to get a reminder for whatever by text it feels like my privacy is being invaded. Even get annoyed when my mobile supplier sends me a text.

in the practice where I used to work, we done that.

Personally I hated it! We used to always get loads of texts back saying 'jack was wormed last week, I bought a years supply when I was in, Jack has died......' that sort of thing.

Then one day I answered the phone to a really nasty woman who gave me hell as we had sent her a reminder to booster her dog which we had put to sleep previous. Whoever had pts the dog, didnt mark it as 'dead' on the computer.

I can completely understand where she was coming from though and she had every right to be angry. You just have to make sure that all text reminders are for animals that are actually alive. It just wasnt for me and I hated it with a passion.

We don't atm but our comp system has the ability to do stuff like this so i'm told so prob will do it one day!
