Just after some feedback from those of you who have experience using ethylene oxide sterilisation-which machines do you have experience with and any positive or negative feedback you can give.
Thanks!

Re: Ethylene oxide sterilisation

We used Andersons as well and they are really helpful.

I LOVE the EO steriliser once you get over the 'scariness' of using it :-) It's great :-)

Re: Ethylene oxide sterilisation

Just done a very very long term locum at a practice that used it and have to say l loved using it. You need to make sure you have a normal autoclave though as min cycle is 12 hrs. Is great no soggy bags after a trip in the autoclave and did all of the items esp delicates.
Need to be very careful with the ampoules where l was l was in charge of theatre and l made sure only designated people used it if l wasn't there it was in a marked up cupboard and l made sure l scared the pants of anyone l showed round...simple reason the gas is very dangerous and l did not want anyone trying to use them without knowledge.

Anderson supplied the machine and gave back up and were very good and on the ball. They have an operators course that l did very easy but l learnt a lot. l can get the details of machine if needed.
