We have quite a few but they obviously get urinated on by the patients and I was just wondering how everyone else cleans them?
How big is your mat? I stick ours in the bath - scrub them with a scrubbing brush and anistel and then rinse them off with the shower head until the water runs clear, which can take quite a bit of time. Then I lay them out on the grass at the back of the practice to dry in the sun (when we have some). Just a word of warning they are bloody heavy when they are wet and you need to lift them out of the bath. Maybe check a small area for colour fastness first tho. In the winter I usually hang them over the inside line but they can take ages to dry (put some old towels underneath them to prevent them flooding the place out).
