She gets itchy after using Advantix but was fine after using this. Going up north this week so will let you know how effective it is. It is a bit fiddly to put on.

Re: Vectra Flea

We have it but only sold 2 boxes so far as not a big tick area so most people only cover against ticks if going on hols.

Re: Vectra Flea

We have been using it for about a month. I put it on my golden retriever and she did get a reaction to it, but this also happened with advocate, so going to try bravecto next.

Other than my own dog, not heard of any other problems, and didn't think left a greasy mark.

The only negative I would say is that the design of the pipettes can cause accidental opening of product, this happened when it was left on the shelf.

Re: Vectra Flea

just out of interest how many practices are using this product at the moment?

Re: Vectra Flea

Thanks for that will pass the info on

Re: Vectra Flea

Tried it on my Yorkie. It smelt quite strong and was quite greasy. Also he tried to rub it off everywhere and was quite difficult to distract (though in fairness he is a complete wimp!). However all that said we think it's great for pets travelling abroad, so much simpler than other options needed to cover fleas, ticks, sand flies and mosquitoes. Just have to stress it's contains permethrin to people with cats!

Re: Vectra Flea

We've given some to a client recently but have not had any feedback yet. One of my colleagues tried it but she said it left a greasy mark all the way up the dog but it had been recently clipped. I spoke to the rep last week and she said it might leave a greasy mark if the pippette is not pushed down hard enough onto the dog and also it may be a bit greasy on dogs with very short coats. Other than that haven't heard any other problems including efficacy.

Re: Vectra Flea

not heard about that one yet..
