Nah thats the awarding body the college we're with has chosen. Though i really dont understand why cq cant do the exam on computers

Aww that's crap to be honest I prefer the large animal/ horse stuff - that is where I want to work - as cats and dogs all the time gets a bit boring - Wish they did a mixed animal pathway - i,m in mixed practice and love when the sheep/calves etc come in occassionally or I go out to help. Good luck. Can U not change to the city and guilds course then?

I'm with cq and I think it's pretty much the same. Lucky dip on a+p might get tons on muscles might get none. It's frustrating having the horse stuff. I still think that should be separate. And I have to wait 6 weeks for results which sucks =(

I think with C&G you just get a random bank of 135 questions and not everyone gets the same - as some said for anatomy they had no nervous system or renal, likewise for identifications of breeds i got Cats and rabbits - which was great:) another person in the class got horses!

My friend got no horse questions - I actually felt i was doing any equine nursing paper I had about 20 on horses, muscles which i hate and cranial nerve questions. Don't know what your exam is like but good luck :)

Oh god I hope we don't have anything like that! I know it's different exam boards but still I think I'll look over snakes!

I passed so i,m sure you will be fine - load of horse and snake questions in my paper though.

Yeh instant results is good and you can resit quickly if u fail

Ours is with CQ wish it was with c&g because you get your results instantly don't you. I have to wait six weeks =(

I am told c&Gs love horse questions so need to look at that - the trouble is I don't know how in depth they want you to go - last night i sat blood vessels and heart of the bird and reptile. Not even done nutrition, parasites, and breedingetc. They keep adding things so your constantly checking the website. Good luck when it comes, i,ll let you know how it goes or not :)

I have mine at the end of June and I'm dreading it. I've never revised for exams so not really sure what works for me. The only exams I ever did were my gcses and safe to say I didn't put in a lot of effort and I came out with B's. I really don't want to fail at this and even more pressure as I'm quite academic so everyone doesn't expect me to have any problems =/. It's such a huge subject and having no idea what might come up is scary.

I,d be happy with birds having kept and bred bird myself but horse stuff neigh chance. Paper one i got loads of horse stuff! I work in mixed training practice so asking the vets about horse stuff, but I think it would be fair to say most of my class are really dreading this paper. No we don't get mock exam - it would be good to use the c&G unitised tests but to later now! Just have to go in and wing it! Thanks for the reply.

I have just done paper 2. There really is too much to know and it should be split up, TBH I decided if I didn't know it now then I won't be able to know it for the exam. In my exam some people got lots of birds questions, some lots of horse ones. I had lots of horse ones and have worked with horses for 15 years, I didn't know the answer to some and neither did my vet! Do you not do a mock exam? Vet logic is quite helpful for re-cap & questions if your college has that online?

I just made sure I knew my anatomy inside out, differences between species. I knew the basics of everything else. Too many random diseases you could be asked about. In my mock I got a question about rhabdomyolysis in horses, I only knew the answer as I had seen it before, but I had not learnt about it or studied it at college. I don't think at this stage we can physically know and understand hundreds of diseases!

Good luck I am sure you will be fine! Some of the questions were really obvious and I found myself questioning if they were trying to trick me out! Keep calm and just check that you KNOW your anatomy & physiology, and that you can grasp the basics of everything else.
