Hiya, when we first became a TP our VNAC offered to send us a few to get us going which we could tailor to suit our practice.

Not sure if anyone will be along to share, but if you are looking for a starting point, you can pay and download many SOPs from an Australian company called Crampton Consulting - you could just pick one (such as cleaning dental hand instruments etc). They are about $10 each - 5 pounds, and might give you a idea of how they should be written.

Hi again, would anyone please be able to email me a couple of examples of their SOP's, just so I can get an idea of how they should be written. I've never used them before and cannot find any examples online anywhere. I'd be very grateful for a peek at a couple.... Many thanks again.

Thanks for your reply Caz, I'll look through the NPL for ideas on where to begin, good idea. Looks like it will be a big job then!

Hi I have just had to update the SOPs at my place. You should have a look at everything officially but maybe to start with look at areas the student has to cover according to VLE such as cleaning of instruments,clippers,hand washing,operating autoclave,cleaning theatre/consult rooms the list goes on and on I'm afraid!
