My dog has many odd habits! He has three beds downstairs (one in the lounge, one in the dining room & one in the hall). He has recently discovered a beanbag in our spare bedroom. Came home today and that's where he was. When it's sunny (like it is today) he normally spends the whole time sleeping in the dining room in the sun, he loves it! So i thought he'd like to have the beanbag moved to the dining room so he can have the best of both worlds...how wrong was i!!! My mum went upstairs and found him curled up on the floor looking sad where the beanbag is supposed to be in the bedroom!! Have now put it back in it's place and that's where he is again. What an odd dog!

Another thing he does, which is really sweet, when someone comes into the house he goes to see them (he gets VERY excited) then runs off to get his bone and takes it to them!

Re: Dogs and their weird foibles

Dolally, my JRT does this too, she tries to catch the bubbles in the water bowl... she is aptly named ~Bubble BTW, not because of that... it was the kids, she had a white halo ring on her head as a pup and it looked like a bubble had burst on her head.

My dad had a cat once that was obsessed with water, she would play in the sink if it was full...... and I mean in the water, her whole, self, she would spend ages floating about and patting the water..She was also bad when it rained, especially heavily, she would lie out on the garden path, all fours up in the air and let the rain batter down on her, my dad was forever bringing her in drenched

Re: Dogs and their weird foibles

here it is!!!!!!!!!

He has an obsession with water, any water be it a puddle, bowl, stream, pond etc....he pats the water with his paw to make a bubble, then bites the bubble, pats the water, bites the bubble....people often think hes trying to catch fish, no its just the bubbles. When we get back from a walk he runs and jumps straight in the bath, i run a little water in the bottom and he cleans his feet by patting the water.

Also he'll sit and stare at my nails, and if i click one nail off the other he bites the air

Re: Dogs and their weird foibles

[quote user="STRVN"]
