Are you a member of the BVNA? I would advise joining them as they offer bursaries etc yearly

You may even be eligible for a PCDL loan (professional career development loan), There's the co-op bank and another bank that offers those.

On the job front, I was in an unpaid placement for my training for two years and this was full time but you have to do what you have to do if you are serious about this as a career. I promise I am not being patronising when I say this, it was just my experience but I took on a job along side my training so I could afford to pay for petrol (bar job). My hours were 7am-4pm on placement and then 5pm-1am on the bar, 5-6 days a week. Yes it was exhausting both emotionally and physically but nothing beats the feeling of "i did it" when you qualify/ get offered a position. I slaved 18 hours a day for this qualification. But it had to be done. What's a couple of years (in your case 60 weeks) of hard work out of the rest of your life with a qualification well earned?

I hope you manage to find a source of income as it would be a shame to have to discontinue when you have finished your first year! Like I mentioned, try BVNA or hardship funds from your university if they are available.

If you did have to take up a job, even if its just a few hours, a bar job would be my recommendation because you can be flexible (expecially the cash in hand ones), and you get tips! Maybe a pub that shuts fairly early.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
