I'm also in tears when I watch TV adverts, and even reading adverts in magazines. I support the SSPCA - don't know if anyone has seen this but it happened not far from me, it is horrific.

Not all adverts are hard to watch though, there are some nice ones on tv now and again about how our money is helping the animals and giving them loving homes.

Dogs Trust post some lovely ones about the animals post rescue and sometimes before and after pictures. The before pics are sad to see, but then you see how the animal is now and it makes it all worthwhile.

My pets are all rescues and I like to think I am doing my bit by supporting charities, no matter how small/large the dontation, it all adds up.

Aww Paula, dont cry it was wagging it's tail and is going to be alright, plus it's a totally loveable dog,as they always are. At least now it will be rehomed to someone who gives it a good life

OMG that poor dog, the fact that it was still wagging its tail just shows the kind of lovely dog it was, reading that has reduced me to tears, but I am not having a very good night as you know.

Is badger bating allowed where you are then?? cause I know it's against the law here on the mainland!!!

Had a bull mastiff in the p[aper today, who had suffered horrific injuries, it had 9 throat slashes as well as slashes across it's back, apparently exposing the spinal cord, as well as minor slashes to the limb...... and it walked into the vets aided by the police wagging it's tail

If I had my way - the fuckers would suffer at the mercy of me - once the deed was done, they would rot in hell forever. And I tell you now, their death would not be pretty and there would be a lot of suffering. Call it payback for all the animals they made suffer in their lifetime

Oh, believe me Paula, I did! Didnt get anything only a mouthful of cheek. Its so obvious they are going to dig badgers out of their setts. It so breaks my heart but there is nothing I can do about it - short of taking them on and beating them over the head with the spade - after all, thats what they do with the badgers after they have suffered so long at the mercy of the dogs. and I mean DOGS because there is always more than one.

It has been known in my area for the fuckers to remove the teeth and claws of a badger before setting dogs on them. I cannot understand how they are able to restrain the animal when they carry out this barbaric act, but it has been done

I give to the SSPCA, but I agree, I hate the adverts. I would be asking where there going with their spades!
