My student has completed VN1-8 so college says its fine to open up 9/10/11. I tend to have one unit open at a time to avoid confusion, once its complete I will open next unit, this approach suits both myself and my student and we are finding it the best way forward as she has not got multiple tasks open at the same time and can spend more time on each unit.

hi there.

i had always said no to my first year student and made sure we completed units 1-7 in the first year and saved the rest for year 2. but..... we had a visit from the college last month and she said its fine to open up whatever you want as long as you are happy the student can do it. at the end of the day, its your name signing off the units so if your happy then go ahead. obvs check with your college, but i have now opened up lots of second year stuff x

we are allowed to gget 2nd year stuff opened lke radiation safety - all of VN11 is open , allowed to do labs stuff but proirity is to complete vn 1-8 in 1st year. - We were told depends on student experience what could be opened such as 2nd and 3rd year stuff.

Thank you, yes that's what I've done previously but we have a fracture repair coming up which is something we don't get in often so wanted to be able to open this skill up for that reason, Xx

We only open what have been/or doing at college with exception of rare cases. Hope this helps.
