I was wearing some shoes today going into the hospital this evening something bounced in and jammed in the ball of my foot under my toes. As my shoes were on l couldn't yank my foot off whatever instead whatever crushed further in as l instictivly jumped and came down the shoe did a great job of not only holding but pushing whatever the whatever deeper into my foot.

Taking a seat on the kerbside and using sweet words of pain l yanked the shoe off, had a shufftie in my bag for something sharp, luckily had my nursing badge. I can confirm that the pin is sharp enough to dig into my foot and pop out the glass that was embedded.

Had l not had shoes l would not now have a sore foot nor would l have had glass jammed in that needed digging out. At most it would have stuck on the outside and brushed off.... l keep saying shoes are dangerous.

Only foot sting l had was when l was helping handle bees from a hive back home at a holiday campn when l was about 12. A tickly feeling on my foot l squashed my toes and it was a poor bee, he rightly stung me so l had to dig that out and felt really bad for not looking first.

I used to all of the time...lovely feeling. Until one day i stood on a wasp...OUCH!!! Tend to wear flip flops in the garden now!

i love going barefoot, im constantly getting told off by bouncers in pubs to put shoes back on, and when doing nights so much easier to get round!!

Oh and love toe socks too, very wierd but so comfy!! xx
