my answer was 18mls but I sat mine on sunday so they may have changed figures? Basically looked at total amount for weight for that day and then divided by 5 as my scenario was having 5 meals a day. I used 5ml pre and post flush which looked like overkill?!

Hello everyone, please can you help me as I'm stressing big time about my practical osces I've just taken, I took my exam on the 21st march at 11am at myscough college and I'm stressing big time, I calculated the wrong dose for the food tube?! Did anyone get 12mls of food, please someone get back to me as it's driving me insane, thank you xx

also how much flush should be used pre and post feed on the naso-oesophageal feeding tube osce?

is there a unit of measurement for vernier scale? or do we just put 25.6 for example?

Best of luck! It honestly goes in very quickly, my advice would be to make sure you read the task, use all the time and don't dwell on a task if you think it goes badly! And think positively! Best wishes to all sitting them :) Ceri x

U most likely get 2.0 ml or 2.5 mls so its easy to draw up on the syringe. hope that helps and good luck for Sunday. The Key is to stay calm and the examiners are that scary either :-)
